Social Responsibility of Businesses
More than just generating sales and making profits, businesses should be established to contribute to our society. This does not only mean providing the needs of people and providing consumer safe products but also helping in making the world better. Things like outreach programs, tree planting activities and using eco-friendly bags are just some of the things that businesses do now to be responsible in their communities. Even the smallest of things like conducting a great crested newt survey before making and business developments shows an act of being socially responsible.
Today, people are now more aware and concerned about their community and environment. Because of this, businesses that have shown their concern for their environment and community became more popular and of course, made more money. Now more and more businesses are looking for ways on how to show that they care for their community.
These facts only shows that the saying “what goes around comes around” is true not only for people but also for businesses. If a business does good deeds for the community, the community will love that business.
